Passed away peacefully at the Pontiac Reception Centre, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Kathleen Hodgins for 68 years. Loving father to Royce (Joyce), Sheila (Charlie McDowell), Claire (late Henry Lunam), Marilyn (Norris Angus), Diane (Joey Keon), Barney (Heather), Murray (Gloria), Mona (late Glen Yach), Myles (Marsha), Michael (Janice) and Richard (Bonnie). Predeceased by daughter Brenda (Bert Murphy). Survived by brother Dalton (Bertie), Ruby Hodgins (late Garnet) and Lois (Lloyd Cartman). Cherished grandfather of 33 grandchildren and their spouses and 31 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Lamarche and the caregivers at the Pontiac Reception Centre for their wonderful care to Ebert. Friends may call at the W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, March 15, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until Service time. Funeral Saturday, March 16th to Shawville United Church for Service at 3:00 p.m. Interment Yarm United Cemetery, Yarm, Quebec. Donations to the Shawville United Church would be appreciated.
