JOHNSTON, Laura - At home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, March 21, 2002, Laura Johnston at age 38 years. Laura's strength of will carried her through a four year struggle with cancer. Though she's gone from us, her next journey begins. Devoted mother of Louis-Philippe and Simone. Cherished daughter of Joan (nee Ramsay) and the late Donald Johnston. Forever in the hearts of her siblings Allan (Martha), Susan (Susan) and Alyson. Dear aunt of Bethany, Paige and Genevieve. Sadly missed by many relatives, friends and neighbours. Special thanks to the medical staff at O.R.C.C., The Hospice at May Court, Dr. Louise Coulombe and the VON, especially Estelle, for their sincere compassion and care. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Monday, March 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
