Professional Nutritionist and Educator, retired employee of Health Canada, passed away in Ottawa, on Tuesday, March 26, 2002. Daughter of the late John and Veronica (O'Leary) Burns of Saint John, N.B. Left to mourn are 1 brother Patrick J. Burns of Fredericton, N.B. and two sisters, Nina Poirier and Gertrude Hanley of Saint John, N.B. Also surviving are a number of nephews, nieces and cousins. Anne will be greatly missed by her family and friends and by many professional health educators, colleagues, associations and community groups in which she was actively involved for many years. Many thanks to the staff of the Osgoode Care Centre for the compassionate and excellent nursing care Anne received. Burial will take place in Saint John, New Brunswick. A memorial celebration of the Holy Eucharist will take place at Canadian Martyrs Church on Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial tributes may be made in spiritual offerings or in donations to the Osgoode Care Center, 7650 Snake Island Road, Metcalfe, Ontario.
