On Tuesday, March 26, 2002. Beloved wife of Boruch Yakir. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Chil and Suzanne, Mindy and Eugene Orenstein. Cherished grandmother of Max Beryl and Sam Henry Spiegel, Amaryah and Yoninah Rachel Orenstein. Chaike was a heroic fighter in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, life-long member of the Jewish Labour Bund, devoted to the ideal of social justice. Long-time secretary of the Women's Vladeck Branch of the Montreal Workmens Circle.
