Gary DINGLEDINE

Of Richmond, formerly of Burlington, Ontario, died on Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Ottawa Heart Institute as a result of Sudden Cardiac Death. He was in his 54th year. Beloved husband of Danielle, loving father of Andrea and Jon, father-figure to Jenn and Mark, son of Kenneth and Audrey Dingledine, brother of Ray and Marcia, son-in-law of Suzanne Poppa and the late Max Poppa, brother-in-law of Rev. Sister Maxine, Robert and Sidonia, Ron and Jackie, Julie and Wayne Mackey, and Susie and John Smuckavich, uncle of Scott, Luke, Stephanie, Eric, Jennifer, Patrick and Liam. Loved and admired by his family and extended family, Gary will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Gary's career with the Public Service spanned 30 years. Beginning in 1971 with the Unemployment Insurance Commission, Gary worked for several ministries, including Science & Technology, Industry Canada and the Privy Council Office. Highly respected in his field, Gary has held a variety of management positions, most recently as Assistant Secretary, Human Resources Management Division, at the Treasury Board Secretariat. Gary will be remembered by friends and family at West Plains United Church, 549 Plains Road West in Burlington, Ontario on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will also take place at the Hellenic Banquet Centre, 1315 Prince of Wales Dr., Ottawa on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
