Peacefully at Riverpark Place in Ottawa on Sunday, March 31, 2002 Aileen (Popplewell) Thornbury in her 91st year. (Former co-owner of Thornbury Drug Store, Perth). Predeceased by her husband T. Arthur Thornbury in 1995. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her son Ron and daughter-in-law Denise Vallely, her daughter Margaret-Anne and son-in-law Ron Clough and her grandchildren, Adam and Kendra-Laine Clough. The family would like to thank the staff and her friends at Riverpark Place for the excellent care and friendship extended to her during her stay. We would especially like to acknowledge all of mom's wonderful neighbours, friends and relatives in Perth for the years of kindness and support shown her; to Dr. Derek Tyrrell for his care and compassion over many years to both Aileen and Arthur and to the congregation at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, where Art and Aileen were long-time members. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Wednesday, April 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until service in the chapel at Noon. A private interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Arthritis Society would be appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen, 02-04-2002
