Peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2002 at age 88. Flight Lieutenant (retired) RCAF, WWII Veteran (Spitfire Pilot) and retired London Life representative. Beloved husband of Luverna (nee Barnett) for 59 years and son of the late John McMahon and Mary Ann Brearton of Ottawa. Dear father of Carolyn (James Faulkner), James, Barry (Francoise Parent), Patricia (James Double), Kathleen (Mark Shulman), Michael (Eileen Kennedy) and Ellen (Davorin Knez). Cherished grandfather of Sean (Anne-Marie), Terri (Scott), Colleen (Michael), Daniel (Margaret), Sean, Jennifer, Emilie, Julie, Marie-Claire, Brian (Nathalie), Kathryn, Erin, Peter, David, Robyn, Trevor and Stephanie, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Rita Kenny, Patrick McMahon and the late Daniel, Peter, Francis, Agnes, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Alice and Cecilia. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Monday, April 8, 2002 at 10 a.m. Donations to the Ontario March of Dimes or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be most appreciated.
