(nee Somerville) Peacefully at the Rideau Ferry Country Home on Sunday, April 7, 2002. Ida Florence (Somerville) Bowes in her 84th year. Beloved wife for 60 years of the late Arthur C. Bowes who predeceased her on July 4, 2001. Beloved mother and friend of Linda (Garry) Gemmill of Fallbrook and the late Ellis Bowes of Nanaimo, B.C. Dear grandmother of Tracy Pennett (Steve) of Fallbrook, Tara Durnin (Peter) of R.R. #3, Perth, Jennifer Gemmill (Jeff) of R.R. #6, Perth, Krista Gemmill (Chris) of Fallbrook and Jordan Bowes of Waterloo. Great-grandmother of Kendra and Teaghan Durnin. Beloved sister of Blanche Munroe of Lanark, Donald Somerville (Rose) of Middleville and the late Isobel Ireton, Jack and Dave Somerville. Florence was the sister-in-law of Vera Bowes of Hopetown, Grace and Ken Bowes of Middleville, Betty Liddle of Smiths Falls. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, her special friends Cheryl (Bowes) and Brian Carter, her entire family and many friends. She was the daughter of the late J. Lorne Somerville and Ida May Mather. Friends may pay their respects at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Lanark, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Pine Grove Cemetery.
