Merchant Navy Veteran & Royal Canadian Legion Montgomery Branch 351 In hospital on April 10, 2002, in his 79th year. Fred Monaghan, dear cherished friend of Patrick Finch. Son of the late William John Monaghan and Anna Elizabeth Hale. Survived by his sisters Anne Monaghan, Margaret (Mrs. Elwood Lackie), Celine (Mrs. Philip Ryan), Mary (Mrs. Jack Furrier), Sandra (Mrs. George Wyman) and brothers Charles (Doris), Edward, Patrick and Michael (Marcia). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Respects to the family may be paid at the Whelan Funeral Home, 515 Cooper Street (between Bay & Lyon), on Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 13, 2002, to St. Theresa's Church (Somerset Street at Cartier) at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Hope Cemetery.
