(Renfrew Legion Branch #148) In hospital in Renfrew, surrounded by his family, on Friday, April 12, 2002, Dave Purdie, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Ruth of Renfrew. Dear father of Brian (Irene) of Renfrew, David (Debbie) of Smiths Falls, Joyce (David) McMahon of Ottawa, and the late John Purdie. Survived by sister Jean Seaby of Ottawa. Predeceased by sister Grace Buske and brother Wilf. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Resting at the McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munro Ave. at Lorne, Renfrew, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday 11 to 12:45, where the funeral will be conducted in the chapel Monday at 1 p.m. Rev. Dr. George Hermanson presiding. Spring interment Thomsonville Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Victoria Hospital Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.
