On April 14, 2002 at the age of 71. At Sundry, Alberta formerly of Ottawa and Toronto. Lou was a former Junior hockey player with the Ottawa Montagnards. Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn are daughter Joyce of Toronto and son Chris (Heather) of Alberta and grandchildren. Former husband of Irene Laviolette. Survived by brothers Leo (Dolly), John (Marlene), Fred (Joan) and Henry (Diana) all of Ottawa. Also Gerry of Toronto and sister Theresa (Urbain) of New Brunswick. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Bill and his wife Elsie. Funeral Mass Friday, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sundry, Alberta. The Ottawa Citizen, 17-02-2002
