Suddenly at his home, R.R. 3, Lanark, on Thursday, April 18, 2002. Elmer Echlin, in his 81st year, husband of the late Alma Leaver. Loved father of Gerald of Smiths Falls, Arlene (Cliff Moore) Harvey of Port Elmsley, Brian (Connie) of R.R. 3, Lanark. Brother of Violet Rathwell of Perth and Joyce Moss of Smiths Falls. Grandfather of Kathy Dionne, Trevor and Lorry Harvey, Lisa Counch, Debbie Stinson, Heather Echlin and Kyle Echlin. Great-grandfather of Colin and Curtis Dionne, Ryan and Devon Harvey, Brooke, Stephen and Sarah Clarke, Cassie and Colton Harvey, Brittany Couch, Avery and Logan Stinson, Natalie La France. Special friend of Alice Craig. Predeceased by brothers George and Garfield Echlin and son Ivan. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 20 (time to be confirmed).
