(nee Madore) Finally pain free and peacefully at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, on Sunday, April 28, 2002 at the age of 68, too young for this. The last days and hours were shared by Betty's closest and loving family. Betty was predeceased by her parents Henry and Clare Madore of Rapides des Joachims, PQ, her 3 brothers, TJ, Mildrid and Ellis also all from Rapides des Joachims, and her always loving husband Bob Latreille of Ottawa. The joy and love of her life was her 4 grandchildren, Matthew, son of Barb Latreille and David Irvine, Jordan, daughter of Michael and Pam Latreille, and the two fun loving girls devoted to their Nannie, Sophie and Isabella, daughters of Kelli Latreille and Anthony Puzzo. Already feeling our loss of Betty's love and friendship are her surviving family, brothers Vincent Madore of Thunder Bay, Frankie and Helvi Madore of Deep River, Kevin and Barb Madore of Rapides des Joachims, and Betty's only sister Gail (Madore) and John Ansley of Peterborough. Betty will also be missed by the many, many, many nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins and friends in both the Latreille and Madore families, especially her sister-in-law Rolande and husband Fred Piche of Ottawa and sister-in-law Huguette Latreille also of Ottawa, including her long time friend Brian Valiquette of Ottawa. Betty brought up her 3 kids mainly in Ottawa and then followed Bob to Montreal and Brampton where she lived sharing life with her daughters. Memorial visitation at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, Rapides des Joachims on Friday, May 3, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes in the R.C. Cemetery, Rapides des Joachims. In lieu of flowers if you would like, please send a donation in Betty's name to the Palliative Care Unit of the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga. They and the 2C Oncology Ward nurses took such warm and loving care of Betty in those final 4 weeks. The Ottawa Citizen, 01-05-2002
