R.C.M.P. Staff Sergeant Major - retired Peacefully at his residence, Wednesday May 1, 2002, surrounded by family. Francis Edgar Doyle age 87. Husband of the late Eve Marie Smith. Much loved father of Rosemary (John McLaughlin). Cherished grandfather of Damian (Lisanne), Danielle, Brendan and great-grandfather of Gabriel and Carter. Dear brother of Kathleen Beaton of Moncton and Joan Swenson of Ottawa. Predeceased by a son Hugh Gerard Doyle (Susan Barlow), by a sister Mary Alexander and by brothers John, Gerald and Cecil Doyle. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 585 Somerset St. (Centretown) Sunday after 2 p.m. Funeral Service Sunday in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Donations to the Lung Association or the Alzheimer Society appreciated.
