At Smiths Falls on Sunday, May 12, 2002 John E. Scharf (retired letter carrier, Canada Post) in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Alda (Shane) Scharf. Loved father of Peter of Smiths Falls. Fond grandfather of Courtney. Brother of Marguerite and Velma both of Manotick. Predeceased by brothers Clarvis, Charles and Hugh and sisters Lela, Evelyn, Della and Ruby. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 1 p.m. Thursday followed by service in the chapel at 2 p.m. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Bible Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
