At 83 years of age, passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus Tuesday, May 21, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Florence, three sons, Larry (Susan), Howard (Sandi) and David (Wendy). Grandfather of nine, Great-Grandfather to six. Predeceased by sister Rose and brothers Paul and Philip, he is survived by brother Bob and many nieces and nephews. Len was a World War II veteran, a member of the Rosecrucian Hierarchy, a member of the Legion and a long time volunteer for the Boy Scouts of Canada. A born raconteur, he was fond of regaling friends and family with stories from his past - stories that will now be missed. Although he enjoyed a round of golf when younger, and often participated in round and square dancing as he grew older, his favourite pastime in later years was his computer sending emails to his many contacts. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd) on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. A memorial donation to the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus would be appreciated.
