Peacefully at Almonte Country Haven in Almonte, Ontario on Thursday, May 23, 2002. Jack Bittle in his 96th year. Beloved and caring husband of Eleanor Jack and by previous marriage of the late Gwendolyn Whitworth. Dear father of Heather Wolfe of Toronto. Father-in-law of Margaret Bittle of Ottawa. Grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Frances Bigras and his brother Donald. Predeceased by his son John Henry Blair Bittle, his brothers Edward, Arthur, Bill, Bert, Norman and sisters Helen and Janette. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with Reverend David Mullin officiating. Interment, St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carleton Place. Donations to St. James Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society of Lanark County would be appreciated by the family.
