Retired Captain Ottawa Fire Department Ernie passed away peacefuly at the Ottawa Hospital on June 4, 2002. Predeceased by his loving wife, Marjorie. Brother of Ruth O'Flaherty, Keenan Spence and Dorothy March. Predeceased by his sisters Lois Wingate and Margaret O'Sullivan. Ernie will be deeply missed by his three sons Bob (Kim), Garry (Claire) and Rick (Cathy). Proud and loving papa of Amber, April, Harley, Darren, Shane and Tylor. He will also be missed by many friends and members of the Perth Civitan Club. Friends may pay their respects at the Perth & District Funeral Home Chapel and Reception Centre 15 Victoria Street, Perth on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 12 noon. Interment Johnston's Corners Cemetery. Donations to CHEO. The Ottawa Citizen, 05-06-2002
