Ski Pioneer Peacefully in Almonte hospital on Thursday, June 6, 2002 in his 80th year. Dear husband of Margaret (nee Phillips). Loving father of Betsy of Almonte, Joanne of Arnprior, Susan of London, England and the late Stephen. Fondly remembered by his five granddaughters; Carly, Jolene, Roseanne, Michelle and Julie. John will be dearly missed by his many friends in the ski industry. Predeceased by his twin sister Florence Miller and two brothers Harvey and Bob. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Monday, June 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 11 from 10 a.m. until service time in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment St. James Anglican Cemetery, Hull, P.Q. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to the Canadian Ski Museum, 1960 Scott St., Ottawa, would be appreciated by the family. The Ottawa Citizen, 08-06-2002
