Q.C. Suddenly, at home, on Saturday, June 8, 2002, aged 58 years. Ted, loving husband, closest companion and dearest friend of Rita, his wife and soul-mate for almost 32 years; Proud and devoted father of Adam and Aidan. Ted Thompson was Assistant Deputy Minister, Business Law and Counsel to the Department of Industry and had a long, dedicated and distinguished career with the Department of Justice in Toronto from 1974 and in Ottawa since 1993. Ted was respected and admired by all who knew him, loved by most, and adored by many. Besides his wife and children, he is sadly mourned and missed by his brothers, Dusty and sister-in-law Lise, Bob and sister-in-law Ruth; and sister Ruth and brother-in-law Ted. Also mourned and missed by brother-in-law Michael, sisters-in-law Olga and Marilyn, an aunt, nieces, nephews and many cousins. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Tuesday, June 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, June 12 at 12:30 p.m. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
