Peacefully at home on Sunday, June 9, 2002, in her 94th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lyle Abernethy. Cherished mother of Don (Joan), Rene (John) and Ruth (Gerhard). Adored grandmother (Gum) of Diana (Walter) and Danny (Wendy) Deacon, Leslie (Robert) and Christine Abernethy and Max (Linda) and Chantal (Rob) Bradbury. Dear great-grandmother of Brandon Deacon and Jordan Beckoff. Survived by sister Neta Andrews. Predeceased by brothers Ken and Doug Chevrier, step-sister Yvonne Scovil and step-brother Romeo Chevrier. Many thanks to Dr. David Millar, Ottawa-Carleton Community Care Access Centre and the Victorian Order of Nurses for their care and support. A Memorial Service will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Saturday, June 22nd at 3 p.m. A memorial donation to the Victorian Order of Nurses would be appreciated.
