(nee Metcalf) Formerly of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at Prince George Regional Hospital, at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Stuart Wood. Hazel was born in Lacombe, Alberta, moved to North Vancouver, B.C. with her family when she was in her teens and attended the Pitman Business College in Vancouver. Upon graduation she made her way to Ottawa where she worked for several Crown Corporations and Senator J.G. Turgeon until she moved to Prince George in 1966. Will always be fondly remembered by her cousin Mary Spencer and her many friends. Funeral services were held in Prince George, B.C. on Tuesday, June 18, 2002. Interment following at the Prince George Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Hazel to the charity of your choice.
