At Smiths Falls on Wednesday, June 12, 2002, in his 87th year. Edward was born in Ottawa on Sunday, January 30, 1916. He served in Europe during WW II as Sergeant Major in the U.S. Airforce, 325 Group. He is predeceased by his parents Francis Patrick Cosgrove and Nora (nee Grace) of Ottawa; his brothers Bernard Hugh Cosgrove of Guelph, John Francis Cosgrove of Ottawa, Terrance Joseph Cosgrove of Waterloo; and his sisters Mary Louise Frances Kearney, Grace Elizabeth Daley and Mary-Theresa Cosgrove all of Ottawa. Edward is survived by fifteen nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church in Smiths Falls on Friday, June 14, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Edward, donations to the CNIB or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
