1926 - 2002 Peacefully in her sleep at St. Patrick's Home in Ottawa, on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at the age of 75. Joan Slack (nee Broomfield), wife of the late George Slack. Daughter of the late Herbert and Frances May Broomfield. Survived by her devoted children Janice Rose, of Ottawa, Brian George (Wendy) of Peterborough, Carol Ann Joan of Ottawa and Peter James (Elan) of Berwick. Loving grandmother of Lori Jackson (Andrew) of Ottawa Dalton and Quincy Slack of Berwick and Camilo, Ella and Liam Slack of Peterborough. Also survived by Ray Jackson of Toronto. Loving friend to Cam, Florence, Helen, Kiki, Edna and Helen & Greg Dahl. Special thanks go the warm, generous and loving staff at St. Patrick's Home. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank Street) on Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, June 15, 2002 for Service at the Carleton Memorial United Church, 740 Melfa Crescent (off Prince of Wales Drive) at 3 p.m. Cremation.
