Richard John TOMS

Peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2002 in his 74th year. Born in Sydney, Australia, Richard joined the Canadian Forces REME Corps, 1954. He served in Petawawa, Val Cartier, Helmer, Soest Germany and Suffield, Alberta. He retired as a Warrant Officer in 1978. He was an employee of Petawawa Toyota from 1981 - 1991. Loving husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" Toms (nee Davis). Beloved father of Catherine (William) Lampole of Newmarket, Deborah (Real) Arsenault of Ottawa and Peter Toms of Toronto. Missed by his grandchildren Michael and Christina Arsenault, and Jeffrey and David Lampole. Dear brother of Jim (Gwen) Toms of Brisbane, Australia, Eric (Daphne) Toms of Brisbane, Australia and Peter (Betty) Toms of Sydney, Australia. Predeceased by sister Janice. Richard also leaves countless friends on the golf course and the curling rink. Visitation at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Petawawa on Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation.
