Peacefully in hospital, Carleton Place, Ontario on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at the age of 88. William James Sample, beloved husband of Gladys Isobel Gardiner. Loving father of Glen (Christine), Delmer (Heather), Bill (Patricia) and Janice (David) Nephin. Predeceased by a son Robert. Dear brother of Rose Machin and Eldon (Hazel) Sample. Survived by 13 grandchildren and by a daughter-in-law Donna Sample of Edmonton. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 61 Lake Avenue West, Carleton Place on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. James Anglican Church, Carleton Place on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Mullin officiating. Interment St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Innisville. In memory of Bill, memorial donations to St. James Church or St. John's Cemetery would be appreciated.
