Samuel C. HAWKINS

(Past President of the Ottawa West Liberal Association; Past President of the Ottawa Minor Hockey Association; Retired Aviation Consultant, Department National Defence; Veteran, WWII; Retired Squadron Leader RCAF) Passed away peacefully on Saturday June 22, 2002, in his 87th year. Beloved husband for 55 years of E. Dorothy (nee Pettigrew). Loving father of Dr. J. Mel and his wife Margaret of Toronto and Terry and his partner Patricia of Toronto. Dear grandfather and cherished "Poppo" of Ryan, Melanie, Lesley and Christine. Sadly missed by his brother Ken and wife Mary, by his sisters Clara, Helen and husband Hank and by his brother-in-law Harry and wife Orna. Predeceased by brothers Tom, Hank and sister Dorothy. Friends will be received at Tubman Funeral Homes, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.) on Monday June 24th from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday June 25th from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday June 26th at 11 a.m. Reception immediately following the service.
