(Veteran of World War II) Peacefully, in hospital Perth, on Sunday, June 23, 2002, Leonard George Clark in his 85th year. Devoted and loving husband of Irene Iles. Much loved father to Anne and Marion, all of Aylmer, Quebec. Predeceased by sister Madge and brother John Clark, step-brother Thomas Clark and step-sister Alice Hitching. Dear uncle to Thomas (Glenna) Clark of Smiths Falls and Elisabeth, Richard and Charlotte Iles and their children in England. Leonard will be remembered for his service in Italy. He achieved the rank of Sargeant with the IV Princess Louise Dragoon Guards. He also was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95, Smiths Falls and a devoted community volunteer. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, June 27, at 11 a.m. In remembrance donations to the Hall of Remembrance, Royal Canadian Legion, Perth or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
