Suddenly in hospital, Ottawa, on Sunday, June 23, 2002 John E. Lawson in his 76th year. Beloved husband for 49 years to Rose Mary (Penfold) Lawson. Cherished father of Barb Beadle (Roger Meunier), Elizabeth "Betty" (Bob) Mitchell and Nancy (Glen) Newberry of Lanark and Marjorie Rogers of Smiths Falls (Kenny Rogers of Perth); loved brother of Margaret (Allan) Howie of Carp and Rachel (Fred) White of Saskatchewan and the late Alex and David Lawson. John will be sadly missed by his 12 grandchildren and many good friends. He was also predeceased by his parents Robert and Janet (Penman) Lawson and infant sister Irene. Friends may pay their respects at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark, Wednesday June 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in St. Trinity United Church, Middleville Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Middleville.
