At the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, on Resurrection Day, Sunday, June 23, 2002, in the presence of her extended family, in her 102nd year. Violet slipped away peacefully into the presence of her saviour and Lord. Absent from the body and present with the Lord, along with her dear husband the late Arthur Winship (Regina 1968). Devoted mother of Alan Winship of Ottawa. Daughter of the late John Hodgson and Jennie Meadows of North Shields and Tynemouth, North Humberland, England. A Service of Remembrance and celebration of our Protestant Evangelical roots and Alan's long membership and activity in the Ottawa Anglican Community will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 1230 Bank Street (at Cameron Avenue) Ottawa, on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 2 p.m. Officiants will be the Rev. Chris Dunn of Trinity Anglican Church and Pastor Wilf Wight, presently Eastern Ontario representative of the Canadian Bible Society. Reception to follow at the church for visitation and fellowship. Funeral arrangements by the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. Special thanks to the competent and compassionate staff members of the Perley Ottawa 1 West Team and caregivers from Comcare Health Services.
