Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, June 27, 2002 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Roma Jean (nee Fawcett). Loving father of Beverly Barkley (Robert), Linda Helmer (Donald) and Joanne McMahon (Brian). Survived by brother Hubert (Marjorie) and sisters Maralene Meldrum (Roy) and Doreen Kirkwood (late John). Survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by niece Laura Lee Lalonde (Leo). Predeceased by sister Donelda Freeland (husband Harry). Graveside Service to be held at the Maple Ridge Cemetery on Saturday, June 29, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
