(nee Hunt) Local artist, originally from Pembroke, peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2002, after complications due to a stroke at the age of 77. Predeceased by her loving husband Major David Beattie Gordon (Q.O.R.), her sister Ella Charron and brother Joseph Hunt. Survived by brother Brian Hunt. Dear mother of Greer (Michael Nurse), Kitty (Michael Bowland), Megan, Seton (Patricia Pinciaroli), Gay (Bill Esson, deceased), Sandy (Karen Merker), Hamish and Patrick (Jennifer Stone). Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Odin, Tara, Ryan, Jade, Carmen, Scott, Heath, Mackenzie, Moragh, Rebecca, Devin, Atticus and Rhoen. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Fifth Floor of the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their care, compassion and making Thelma laugh during her lengthy stay. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday, July 12, 2002, from 1 p.m. until Service time in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Service to be presided over by Father John Hunt (cousin).
