Passed away peacefully at the Hospital in North Bay on Sunday, July 7, 2002. Beloved husband of Phyllis Youmans of Elliot Lake. Loving father of Karen Youmans, Vida Bowbrick (husband Gordon), David Youmans (wife Monica) and grandfather of Leslie. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Ann Youmans. Dear brother of Daniel Youmans of Thunder Bay, William (Bill) Youmans of Eagle River, Lillian Christie, Jenafor Atley, both of Edmonton and the late Yvonne Corriveau. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Elliot Lake, Pastor Fred Goliath officating. Art served for 17 years on the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force and subsequently worked on the Trent and Rideau Canals, as well as 15 years of dedicated service for the Rideau Township Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the St. Joseph's Manor in Elliot Lake would be greatly appreciated by the family.
