(Long-time employee of Canada Customs Revenue Agency) Suddenly in Ottawa on Monday, July 8, 2002; at the age of 48. Dearly loved husband of Nancy (nee Stevenson). Loving father of Steven and Kelly. Dear son of Gil and Grace Hiemstra. Brother of Dorothy Van Duyn (Will), Debbie Hiemstra and Doug (Karen). Son in-law of Warren and Margaret Stevenson and brother in-law of Karen Read. Uncle of William, Timothy, Kevin, Jennifer, Emily, Shannon, Tanner and Kyle. Predeceased by a brother Robert. Friends may visit at the the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Wednesday, July 10 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, July 11 from 1 p.m. until service time in the chapel at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to an environmental fund of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
