(retired Bell Canada) Overseas W.W. II Veteran Following a courageous battle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 8, 2002 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie. Loving father of Debbie and Carol (Michael Clark) and grandfather to Rob. Will be sadly missed by special companion Pat Johnston and friends Bill Bradley and Paul Belanger. Survived by his sisters, Ruth, Lillian, and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Robert was the past president D.E. MacPherson Council - Telephone Pioneers, and Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Montgomery Branch 351. Friends may visit the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. Wednesday, July 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Robert's life will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. A special thank you to the staff of 5 West at the Ottawa General Hospital and Kim Cook.
