Rt. Rev. William James Retired Bishop of Ottawa In Kingston, Ontario on Tuesday, July 9, 2002. Ordained a Priest in 1940, consecrated Bishop in 1970. Survived by his devoted wife Isobel (Morton), his sister Jean, his children Tom (Ellen Bradley) of Peterborough, Nancy (Tom Stefanyk) of Markham, Elizabeth Veninga of Pakenham, Margaret (Malcom McKay) of Calgary, and his grandchildren William and Georgia Robinson, Janet, Sarah and Leslie Stefany, and Isobel, Annie and Cecilia McKay. Remembered by his brothers-in-law and his sisters-in-law, his nieces and nephews and by many cherished friends in the Dioceses of Ontario, Ottawa and Niagara. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (Counter Street at Highway 2) Kingston, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Requiem Eucharist will be held at The Cathedral Church of St. George (King & Johnson Streets), Kingston on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 11 a.m. A memorial service to celebrate Bishop Robinson's life and ministry will be held at Christ Church Cathedral in Ottawa at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund or to a church of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
