It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden death at his home in St. George on Friday July 12, 2002 in his 71st year. Ray Routliffe, dear husband of Gina (nee McLaren) will be lovingly remembered by his children Rick Routliffe of Brantford, Allen Routliffe (Sharon) of Brantford, Carolyn Hynes (Wayne) of Monetville, Penny Armstrong (Eric) of Los Angeles, California, their mother Joyce Robinson of Brantford and his sister-in-law Lorna of Smiths Falls. Uncle Ray is survived by 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Grampa Ray will be deeply missed by his 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ray was predeceased by his parents Howard and Mary Etta, and by brothers Glen and Ronald and by infant sisters Doris Minnie and Winnifred. Ray was a long time businessman in Brantford and was the operator of Brant Kwik Kar Wash on Greenwich Street and was also the proprietor of Hertz Car and Truck Rental on West Street in Brantford. Ray Routliffe will be dearly missed by the many people whose lives he touched. The Routliffe Family will receive friends at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, NORTH CHAPEL, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Allan Warren of St. George United Church officiating. Cremation to follow with a private interment service at Mountainview (Pink) Cemetery, Aylmer, Quebec.
