The family of John Charles Fraser is saddened to announce his unexpected passing on July 14, 2002. Predeceased by his son Jason, John is survived by his parents John and Verna Fraser of Ottawa; his daughter and son-in-law Erin and Nick Hammer and their daughter Jasmine Nicole; his sisters and their husbands Sandy and Mel Peters, and Nancy Fraser and Istvan Hernadi; his niece Kim Arnott and her husband Brad; his nephew Scott Peters and his special friends Linda and Charlie Tiffin. Born on September 12, 1952, John showed a talent for things mechanical at an early age and continued to demonstrate this talent throughout his life. At his passing John was employed by the Los Angeles Dodgers at their Vero Beach Florida Baseball Facility, where he most enjoyed the company and friendship of Peter, Joey and Granny. He was an avid supporter of the Vero Beach Dodgers and listened or watched LA Dodgers games whenever he could. John's greatest love was reserved for his children and he cherished any moment he could spend with them. He was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first grandchild who was born on July 12, 2002. His second love was his computer, which he used to keep in contact with his family and friends. Typically, John applied his mechanical aptitude to becoming knowledgeable about his computer and eagerly shared this knowledge with anyone who shared his interest. Arrangements for a memorial service will be confirmed at a later date. Anyone wishing to do so may make a donation in John's memory to his or her local Muscular Dystrophy Association.
