(nee McDonell) Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario on Sunday, July 14, 2002 at the age of 89. Born on June 10, 1913 in Lancaster Township, Glengarry County, Ontario. She was the daughter of Archibald John McDonell and Agnes Blondin. Educated at Bridge End School and Glen Nevis Convent, she graduated as a registered nurse from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing and practiced nursing in Montreal, Smiths Falls, and Rochester, N.Y. She was the beloved wife of John (Jack) King who predeceased her in 1989. She is survived by son James and his wife Barbara, her son Thomas and his wife Janice, and her daughter Nancy. She was a loving sister of Eugene, Stanley, Morris, Elwin, and Blanche (McCann). Friends and family may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd. 114 Main Street South Alexandria, Ontario on Wednesday, July 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9-10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2002 in St. margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Glen Nevis, Ontario at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
