Of Ottawa on Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at the age of 82. Husband of the late Marguerite Dupont. Son of the late David Lafreniere and the late Louise St-Amant. Dear father of Lucille (Maurice Cholette), Gerard (Gisele Lapointe) and Andre (Ann Heron). He is also survived by his grandchildren Joanne, Lynne, Gennevieve, Shawn and Kelly Ann, his great-grandchildren Tyler, Cody and Alyssa, his brothers David and Wilfred and by a dear friend Desneiges Duggan and her children Sandra, Danny and Daniele. Predeceased by his sister Beatrice and by many other brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Chapel (180 Montreal Road) on Monday, July 22nd at 10 a.m. Donations to the Perley Rideau Veterans' Hospital would be appreciated.
