A courageous and beloved mother. Born February 29, 1920 slipped peacefully away on July 19, 2002 at Miramichi Lodge in Pembroke, after a long struggle with cancer. Family was in attendance at her bedside. She is survived by her son Robert and two daughters: Gail Lance and Dorothy Knight, 7 grandchildren: Cathy, Tony, Carrie-Anne, Robbie, Stephen, William and Richard, as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Christopher, Tanner, Austin, Ryan and Tyler. Funeral service will be held at the Deep River Cemetery July 27, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. Carries' zest for live and travel will be greatly missed. Donations to help Cancer research in lieu of flowers.
