Suddenly but peacefully at Lanark Lodge, Perth on Tuesday July 22, 2002, J. Herbert McManus. Beloved husband for 61 years to Margaret Olive (Bartraw) McManus. Cherished father of Betty Anne (Bob) Beverley of Nepean; loved grandfather of Rob (Andree) and Krista Beverley; great-grandfather of Robyn Beverley. Herb was the brother of the late Mary Fournier, Dorothy Downer, Mildred Nolan, Elmer and Cecil McManus, he will be sadly missed by brother-in-law Howard Downer, nieces, nephews, family and good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Friday July 26, 2002 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Andrew's Cemetery, Watson's Corners.
