Passed away at Lanark Lodge on Monday, July 22, 2002, Joan E. (Hoddinott) Parks as the result of Pick's Disease. Beloved wife of Fred Parks; loved and cherished mother of Wilson and Harrison. Daughter of Ruth and the late Wilfred Hoddinott of Ottawa. Loved sister of Dianne Hoddinott of Ottawa and Donald Hoddinott of Stittsville. Cherished daughter-in-law of Enid Parks of Perth, sister-in-law of Bob Parks of Perth and Linda (John) Moore of Waterloo. Joan taught elementary school for 29 years with the Lanark County Board of Education and the Upper Canada District School Board. Joan loved children, especially all her kindergarten classes. Joan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her nieces, nephew and many good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Thursday, July 25, 2002 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held in First Baptist Church, Perth, on Friday at 11:00 A.M. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Memorial Fund of Lanark Lodge would be appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen, 24-07-2002
