On July 22, 2002 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 55. Survived by his beloved wife Suzanne, and stepdaughters Gila (Ilan) and Talya. Adored brother of Sylvie (Hayim) and Azra (Hannah). Loving uncle of Eliyezer (Ruth), Leon (Steffi), Eli, Jacob and Jonathan. Cherished by in-laws Ruth Meites, Al Schaefer (Joy) and Richard (Dori), Steven (Sue), and the late Maureen Schaefer. Forever loved by Annalee, Danny, Sheri and Amanda. Gaby's unique warmth, enthusiasm, energy, love and presence will be dearly missed by all he knew and touched and by every organization and cause he supported so passionately. Funeral Service will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue on Tuesday, July 23rd at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Israel. Shiva will be observed from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at 400 Stewart St. Donations to the Gaby Sassoon Fund for Victims of Terror in Israel.
