Passed away peacefully at The Hospice at May Court on Friday, July 26, 2002 at the age of 81 with his best friend and loving wife, Addie (Crawford) at his side. Caro papa (dear father) of Fedele, Giovanni and Mariella Di Salvo. Proud grandfather of Jonathan, Nicklas, Justino and Giordano. The last Di Salvo elder, predeceased by brothers (fratelli) Giovanni, Ignazio, Antonino, Fedele, Francesco and sister (sorella) Caterina, all in Sicily. Revered uncle to many nephews and nieces and fun loving friend to Addie's children Debbie, Susan, Pegi and respective families. He will be remembered fondly for his charming smile and good natured wit. The consummate gardener, baker, and tomato sauce maker. As was his wish, he will be laid to rest in his hometown Bagheria, Sicily. Words cannot express our deepest heartfelt thanks to all the angels at The Hospice at May Court. You gave us this incredible gift of making Leonardo's final journey peaceful and joyful.
