Founder and President Continental Mushroom Farm A proud Canadian born in Romania on October 6, 1916. Peacefully at home in Metcalfe surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 28, 2002 at the age of 85 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years Virginia (nee Goian) and his four children; Nikki Pora (Stephan Katz) of Ottawa, Leanna Pora-Whitham (Lyle Whitham) of Metcalfe, Sandra Pora of Ottawa and Nick Pora (Marian) of Ottawa and his two sisters who reside in Romania. He will be missed by his grandchildren; Phillip Whitham, Veronica Whitham, Nicola Katz, Chelsea Katz, Andrea Katz, Trent Pora, Annecy Pora, Grace Pora, and great-grandchild Zoe Walton. Special thanks to Dr. Archibald and Kathy Brown who enabled us to keep our loved one at home. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Duncan Funeral Home, 6971 Bank Street (formerly Highway 31, between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
