Diane Knoop van Bergen (age 38) of Perth, died peacefully on Sunday July 28, 2002 in hospital, Perth, after a long courageous struggle with cancer. She leaves behind four loving children; Valery, Samantha, Kevin and Rick Knoop who will carry her gentle fun-loving spirit with them for the rest of their lives. She will also be sadly missed by her father Klaas van Bergen of Perth, predeceased by her mother Dini van Bergen (1998). Much loved sister of Nick (wife Tanya and son Jurgen) van Bergen (of Gouda Holland), and her birth parents and their families. Loved and remembered by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, all residing in Holland. Diane will also be kept in the hearts of many friends, homemakers, nurses, doctors (Dr. Joannou), hospice volunteers, cancer drivers and many other caregivers who have been a great help through this difficult journey and are thanked for their support. Family and friends are invited to join together to remember Diane at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth for visitation on Tuesday, July 30th from 6 to 9 p.m. and a service on Wednesday, July 31st at 10:00 a.m. In remembrance of Diane, contributions to the Lanark County Hospice Visiting Service or Big Brothers Big Sisters would be greatly appreciated instead of flowers.
