At the Winchester Hospital on Monday, July 29, 2002, Adriana P. "Jane" Smits (nee Vloet) of Lakeshore Drive, Iroquois, age 71. Loving wife of Gerard Smits. Dear mother of Donna (Robert) Pease of White Rock, B.C., David (Dawn) of Summerstown, Alma (Kevin) Scully of Waterloo, Bonnie (Chris) McCall of Brantford and Gerry of Owen Sound. Dear sister of Trudy (Tony) Vandenberg of Ottawa, Dina Weren of Chesterville, Nellie Vanderhyden of Stratford, Joanne (Robin) Stanton of California, Mary (Peter) VanMoorsel of Mariatown and Tina (Gary) Coulter of Gananoque. Jane will be sadly missed by grandchildren Madeline, Nicholas and Catherine Pease, Garret and Evan Smits, Keelin, Mairead and Sjaan Scully, Adriana and Samuel McCall and Jordan Smits. Predeceased by brothers Anthony and Gerrit. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Morrisburg on Thursday, August 1 at 11 a.m., followed by cremation.
