A warm welcome is extended to the public interment service to be held on Monday, August 5, 2002 at 2 p.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, Georgina Parish, Sibbald's Point, Sutton, Ontario. For Mike who passed away in Ottawa on June 29th. Cremation took place on July 1st. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, the son of the late Mariane and Michael (Mack) Gillan. He was raised in Sutton. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Senator Joyce Fairbairn, his sister Betsey McNear, and brother-in-law the Reverend Canon Terry McNear who will officiate at the service, and their families. An open house reception will follow immediately after the service at The Briars Resort, 55 Hedge Road. For additional information kindly contact Taylor Funeral Home in Sutton.
