M.B.E., M.I.D., C.D. Peacefully at his residence, Monday, August 12, 2002. James Manse Berry age 93. Dearly beloved husband of the late Betty Geering. Loving father of Elizabeth Pett and Jane (Barry McNeill). Dear grandfather of Lisa Pett; Manse, Jenna, Case and Dean McNeill. A staff officer with the Eighth Brigade, 3rd Canadian Infantry Division landing in France with the D-Day forces. Served in France and Germany. Awarded M.B.E. and M.I.D. in the field. A life member of the Doric Masonic Lodge and a charter member of Doric Lodge Alexander of Tunis Shrine. Long time member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. President of the Kelly-Moore Real Estate Ltd. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Friday in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Highland Park Cemetery.
